A Travel Guide for Latchi Cyprus, Beaches, Sites, Harbor Information...



Latchi Cyprus (also spelled Lachi, Latsi and Lakki) , is a small village that is part of the Polis, Paphos municipality. It is the site of a small picturesque harbor. Fishing is the primary industry in the area.

Originally, carob shipping was the main source of income for the residence of the surrounding harbor areas. The antique red-brick warehouses have been converted into a strip of cultural taverns, fish restaurants and seaside recreation stalls.



Latchis ideal location for water excursions and land trips is evident. Daily excursions from the harbor to the Akamas peninsula include the Blue Lagoon, Agios Georgios Island, Fontana Amoroza, Chamili, Akamas sea caves and of course the historical baths of Aphrodite.

Land trips nearby include the quaint villages of Argaka, Drouseia or Lysos, the many beaches surrounding the harbor are also a relaxing attraction for the multitude of visitors that visit Latchi Cyprus.



Out-door Activities:

Water-Sports in the harbor include scuba-diving instructors, and kiddies scuba-diving, parasailing, jet skis, water-skiing, pedalos, kayaking, canoes, banana rides, tube rides, passenger in tow-boat, wind-surfing, boat-hiring with or without a captain.

Cycling can be enjoyed all year round in the Latchi district. The beautiful hills and flat routes are ideal for cycling and hiking. The coastal roads offer spectacular views or simply head along the cycle path between Prodomi and Larchi, then carry on to Aphrodite’s Baths.

The coastal track towards Fontana Amorosa offers a stop-over at the unique coves along the way. The sharp hills are an uphill stretch but the sites are worth it.

Beaches in the Latchi vicinity are Polis Municipal Beach, Limnes, Dasoudi Beach

The Akamas Peninsula located in the north-western side of Paphos is truly spectacular. The geological formations along the hills and mountainous grounds are residence for flora and fauna. There are unique plant specimens and the open pine forests are a nature lover’s paradise.

The Archaeological Museum of Marion in nearby Polis exhibit artifacts and historical references from the Neolithic, Chalcolithic and Medieval periods.

Polis Cultural Centre hosts a theatre and a seated area for 400 visitors. Its modern design building also houses an exhibition area. Polis is about 4 km from Latchi Cyprus.
