Kyrenia North Cyprus is located on the northern side of the green line. Its main tourist area is Kyrenia harbor with an array of beaches, restaurants, bars, clubs and local hospitality. Kyrenia Castle hosts a Nautical Museum with an old ship-wreck in its full form, historians have dated it back to 300 B.C.
The surrounding villages of Esentepe, Ozkantoy, Lapta and Karmi, provide picturesque landscapes with historical sites, spectacular nature walks and fresh water springs.

Night Entertainment
Kyrenia is a sea-side town with beach bars, clubs and restaurants, for eating and drinking. When the harbor area slows down the Night Park, is the place to be, it is located in the main town with DJ’s spinning till dawn. The nearby town of Alsancak also provides hot spots for the night owls.

Beaches
The popular beaches are Escape Beach, Acapulco Beach, Deniz Kizi Beach and Alagadi Beach also known as Turtle Beach, this is a conservation area. It is famous for its loggerhead Turtles that lay their eggs during the summer. Deniz Kizi Beach is a water-sport haven, with wind-surfing and water-skiing, being the favorites.
Kyrenia Airport
There is one airport in North Cyprus and it is called Ercan Airport. When traveling to North Cyprus from Europe, there is a mandatory stop-over in Turkey before reaching Cyprus. In the south, there are two airports, Larnaca International and Paphos Airport. During the Summer high Season it is estimated that approximately 85 flights per week arrive in Ercan Airport.
