Ercan Airport, North Cyprus. Information and a Travelers Guide

Ercan Airport, is the official legal port of entry to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It is located on the eastern side of Nicosia, near the village of Tymvou. It is required that all flights touch down on Turkish soil, before proceeding to Ercan.

The Airlines that use the Airport are Atlasjet, Cyprus Turkish Airways, Izair, Pegasus Airlines, SunExpress, Turkish Airlines operated by Anadolujet. The Airport is in negotiations to operate direct connections to the United Kingdom.

To enter the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, you are usually not required to hold a Visa. However, if you travel via Turkey, you might be required to hold a Visa to enter Turkey.

A Visa is not required when traveling to North Cyprus via crossing borders in South Cyprus.

It is advisable before scheduling flight arrangements, to verify your Visa status.
